NEWS FOR AUTHORS
World Book and Copyright Day 2021

World Book and Copyright Day celebrate everything to do with literature and reading. The annual event, which is led by UNESCO, is usually celebrated on William Shakespeare's birthday - April 23. According to the UN website: “From 1st to 23rd April, UNESCO will share quotes, poems and messages to symbolize the power of books and encourage reading as much as possible. World Book and Copyright Day provide an opportunity to open ourselves to others despite the distance, and by creating a sense of community through the shared readings and the shared knowledge, readers around the world can connect and mutually help curb loneliness during the pandemic.” It is critical to make time to read on your own or with your children. It is a time to celebrate the importance of reading, foster children's growth as readers and promote a lifelong love of literature and integration into the world of work.
Join the month-long celebration in the Quip Corner with Ada.

Independent bookstore owners look back at a year spent trying to stay afloat. Not all of them succeeded.
Some independent bookstores prospered during year one of the coronavirus pandemic — their stories silver linings that pop against so much darkness. Others decided to call it a day. And for others yet, it is too soon to predict which way the plot might twist. The Washington Post talked to the owners of six indies about how they weathered the year. What follows is an oral history of these shops’ highs and lows as the pandemic knocked life and business upside down.

NEW BOOK RELEASES

Authors WIN Academy released 2 books in the first quarter of 2021
DIVINE DIRECTION
Cover price: $16.99
• Do you ever feel a lack of direction in your life? • Are you sometimes troubled by your past? • Have you ever felt you were moving in the right direction and later realized that you were wrong? • Could God be leading you in directions that you would not usually seek? • Do you desire greater intimacy with God?

If you answered “Yes” to any of the above questions, the Lord invites you to experience the power of looking in the right direction.
Looking is a simple but crucial act. Just one look can change your life – both positively and negatively. The direction toward which you look is as important as are the reasons for looking. Dr. Almona uses her proprietary Five-Way-Directional Model© to show you how to live a happier and more purposeful life as you practice looking in the right direction for the right reasons by the Holy Spirit.
